Why the UA-JCE?#

"Are certifications worth it?" - Absolutely everyone trying to break into IT

The UA-JCE answers this age old question with a resounding, definitive, "Yes!"

Existing certifications cannot offer, or even come close, to what this certification program offers, because (almost) no one actually tests if you can do the job properly - it's all academic; it's all theory. The only noted exceptions are Cisco's CCIE and (ISC)2's CISSP, both of which are highly advanced certifications for people with at least five years of experience.

That's not very helpful for you, and it's not very helpful for employers looking for junior level candidates.

The UA-JCE is worth it, however. Here's why:

  1. Everything is done live via Zoom and is 1-2-1 with a human
  2. Everything you say and do, including you, is recorded
  3. Your academic knowledge is tested
  4. You'll be asked to architect a solution in AWS
  5. Then you'll build the architecture
  6. Then you'll debug problems with it
  7. And then you'll decommission it

You're doing this live, over a three hour exam period, one-to-one, with myself (the author) or another highly experienced, trusted engineer. And we're not just there to look, we're there to test, break things and give you tasks. It's a week's worth of real-world work in three hours.

What does this get you and what does it get employers?

Unlike with the current vendor-biased, theory-only certifications programs we have today, your skills and abilities cannot be denied once you pass the UA-JCE because they're right there on the video.

Note

Access to the video can be requested by employers (anyone, really) and you, and only you, the certification holder, can authorise that access.

Employers will know they're getting a solid candidate who can add value quickly - because it's right there in the video. This greatly reduces two key things for an employer: risk and cost. The risk of hiring you is lower because everything about your capabilities is proven, without doubt. Cost is lowered because lengthy technical interviews can be reduced to a phone call.

Ultimately, the UA-JCE is for people who are genuine about proving their abilities and drastically increasing their chances of getting a job.
